KAITO TENJO; SONGOFLIGHTS
Tenjo Kaito is a 23 year old Xyz survivor. He plays a Photon deck and has a younger brother named Haruto.
APPEARANCE
Kaito is 5'6", with gray eyes and blonde/green hair. He's noticeably malnourished and his eyesight is beginning to fade due to long ignored health issues. He wears a long black coat and carries a large bowie knife on his belt.
PERSONALITY
Kaito is very acerbic and untrusting by nature, critical and at times prone to losing his temper. He's clever and prone to dramatics, but his main skill is in machinery, as he learned years ago.
His biggest soft spot is for children and his brother especially, who he speaks with in a kind, accepting voice.
HISTORY
When Kaito was 10, his mother died giving birth to his younger brother, Haruto. He attended an after school dueling school as a teenager. Their father had always been emotionally abusive, and as soon as Kaito turned 18 and was able to, he took Haruto and left. Kaito worked as a mechanic until the Xyz Invasion (3 years prior to current events), when he and the remaining Xyz had to start struggling for survival.
Nowadays, Kaito has taken in several young war orphans along with Haruto. They live in a formerly abandoned building on the outskirts of Heartland. Kaito scavenges and does odd jobs for other survivors to keep them fed. He refuses to fight for the Resistance specifically due to a quarrel with their leadership, but will tolerate their presence as long as it isn't too overbearing.
Kaito is also known to the Academia, due to his high skill with dueling and willingness to fight outside of duels. (One of the many uses for his knife.)
